I wont say that it has affected me but i will say i have learnt many things from gaming as it helped me improve my concentration and helped me be focused. Though my parents always complained about me spending a lot of time in gaming but still it was worth the time spent.

I am a hardcore gamer and I play a variety of games.. According to me, gaming increases creativity and imaginations... There are so many games that require the gamer to do things, maybe solve a problem or complete a task (Like in GTA) and there is no single way of doing it... It lets the gamer do whatever he wants and this helps the gamer improve his creativity and imagination..

Again i am contradicting with my previous answer but Gaming is good but when done in a limit as we dont want us to get stuck with a screen for the entire day as it would make you lazy to do physical work. If you are really good learn the backend mechanism of the gaming as it has wide opportunity when it come to make a future in gaming as a developer.

I heard a news sometime ago that a kid of about 10-12 years old saved his sister from a moose who was gonna attack her.. After the incident when he was asked how did he know to handle such situation, he answered telling that he learnt those skills from a video game called "World of Warcrafts".. What could be better when a video game can teach you how to save lives, right? Yes, it is not true with all the games and all the situations but there are many such examples where gaming has helped save lives...

Gaming has spoilt sleep.. I have so many friends that are so into gaming that do not sleep much(and on some days they dont sleep at all).. They do not maintain proper routine for sleep and food.. and this affects their health.. This affects them physically and psychologically

Games have their own pros and cons, playing video games till an extend is actually very helpful, it increases concentration, focus, reflexes etc but at the same time if the amount of time you spend on them increases because obviously its addicting, you start screwing up your health.

Gaming increases aggression. There are many games that have intense violence, killing people, these kind of games increase the aggression in people. People have that thought even outside the game.. And there are so many studies that prove it. You can read more about it here: https://www.knoxnews.com/story/news/health/2017/03/17/study-finds-violent-video-games-increase-aggression/99303180/

Gaming, according to me can have both positive and negative impact on an individual. I agree that gaming can boost one's imagination and creativity as well as presence of mind to a certain extent but if you let yourself get addicted to gaming, I would say that it could have a major impact with maintaining relationships with family and friends. It could cause a person to involuntarily distance himself from friends and family in the long run.

The people around me are avid gamers. Though I personally do not game, I have gained appreciation for it. I think it is misinterpreted by many of us an unhealthy habit categorized along the lines of an addiction. Most gamers have a very healthy relationship with their gaming habit. It keeps them socially and mentally active. Sometimes it keeps them cooped up in a room for hours, but so does reading a book.

People get too lost in gaming and are unaware of incidents that's going on in the world.. This is not a good thing.. Everybody should be aware of what's going on in the real world.. because thats where they are living..

I can say I'm an addict. I've started missing my classes just so that i can finish my tasks in this new game i've been hooked onto. My parents had realized that i'm getting addicted to gaming, they started restricting the use of gadgets but i fight and lie to them and go out of my way just to game.

I started gaming when i was in 8th grade. My parents are very strict when it came to using electronics but i started lying and fighting with them. In 12th grade my parents told me i've gotten addicted and i needed help, i refused. But when i saw my career falling down right in front of my eyes, i realized and started the therepy and its helped me a lot. I only game in my free time now and meditation has helped me gain self control.

I think my gaming has affected my mom more than me. She hates it when i game, she's become very short tempered and annoying.

Is it just my mom or everyone's?

Gaming's had both good and bad effects on me. Starting with good effects, it increased my creativity, my concentration, my focus, my imagination and made a lot of online friends. Moving on to the bad effects, i became less social, I ended up screwing my eyes and ears(headphones) and I've put on weight.

But I'm glad gaming hasn't become addiction for me.

I have seen people who are so into gaming that they spend all their timing for gaming. They prefer to stay away from interacting with people. Due to this, when they come around people, they start feeling uncomfortable and start acting weird

Gaming got me diverted from my academics.. Some games are addicting and once your start playing them, that's all you can think of.. Gaming is good but i think getting addicting to it will have bad consequences..

For me gaming has always enfluenced me to do more, acheive more and infact study more. As a kid i was allowed to play only that many hours of games as many i took for studies. So i had to study more in order to play more. This gave me a zeal to study as well as play.
