Issues with the Tableau server extracts

A tableau developer had successfully created dashboard and published it to tableau server for auto refresh extract every day. The developer had access to data and DB. Now that the same developer's access for DB is removed, is it possible to get fresh data to reports everyday? will the extract have new data everyday?
