Can I use Tableau Reader to connect to the workbook published on Tableau server from a remote location

I want multiple people to access this workbook, but I have license restriction limits. I was recommended to use tableau reader, but I have never used it. The tableau workbook is published in a secure website and the tableau server program is stored in a Remote Desktop.

Tableau Reader can be used to open packaged Tableau workbooks. A packaged workbook is a tableau workbook file with extension of .twbx (data saved along with it). So if you have access to the workbook on your server and you download the workbook and the data, then Reader can work for your case.
