KPIs for User Migration

Question

I have been tasked by my manager to come up with clear and meaningful KPIs for the migration project we are currently working on. We are migrating over 40,000 users from Citrix environments to azure cloud and Citrix cloud. I’m actually new in the team and also new to project management.

I need help about some possible KPI examples I could begin with. Thank you.

Migration Costs
Do you recall how we said that time is money? There are costs connected with a migration effort that go beyond data transfer rates. When calculating the cost of your cloud migration, don't forget to include:

Time and money required to complete a thorough dependency mapping
The cost of re-architecting apps to make them cloud-ready
The migration procedure is planned and overseen by time management.

Following are five key performance indicators (KPIs) to track after each migration: Infrastructure, application performance, user experience, business impact, and cost/time savings are all important factors to consider.
Error rates in application performance (failed requests/total requests)
Availability of the application.
Latency.
The total number of time-outs.
Throughput.
