How to copy files from the Windows system to Azure VM

Hi Guys,

I have some files in the Windows system. I want to copy the files from the Windows system to Azure VM. How can I do that?

Hi@akhtar,

You can use WinSCP software to transfer files from the Windows system to Azure VM. You can follow the below steps.

  • Open WinSCP and enter the Hostname.

  • Click on the Advanced Tab.

  • Pass the private key file and click on OK.

It will ask yes or no. Click on yes and you will land to Azure VM. Finally, drag the file from the Windows system to Azure VM.
