What are some of the best companies to work for as a project manager?

Look for companies that promote their organizational PM maturity as one of their strengths. Preferably, look for a role within a strong matrix department/division as in a project-oriented (what used to be called projectized) context, you'd also bear the people management responsibilities for team members which might be too much to take on for someone who is new to the profession.
