Integration of R with Java

I am building a java Application which would take data from the user and build the desired predictive model on top of it, but i'm finding it difficult to implement the machine learning algorithms in Java. So, is there an API which helps me to connect to R so that i can use the code directly?

There is one such Java/R interface which allows you to run R inside Java applications.

there is a package called rjava that helps you do this:

rjava - Low-level interface to Java VM very much like .C/.Call and friends. Allows creation of objects, calling methods and accessing fields
