Restore the EBS volume on instance termination - AWS

0 votes
I have an EC2 instance and as usual, it has an EBS volume attached. Now th thing is, I do not need the instance and I am planning on terminating it. But I need the EBS volume. If I am not wrong, the volume will get deleted as the default action with the instance termination. How do I make sure my EBS does not get deleted?

There is a boolean term called DeleteOnTermination which is by default set to true. This variable is responsible for deleting the EBS volume on instance termination. If you wish to keep the EBS volume even after instance termination, you can explicitly set the flag value to False.
