I am a new bitcoin user. I want to send bitcoin to a friend. I have got his bitcoin address and he said it was encrypted. I want to know whether I have to encrypt my address before sending bitcoins to him or can I send bitcoins even without encrypting it?

Hey. No, you dont have to encrypt your address. Bitcoin addresses are the hash of public key so it is already encoded.
