Consuming REST API having single header through tRestClient component of Talend

0 votes

Can someone help me out with invoking a simple “Hello World” REST API through a “GET” call? My job accepts only one header i.e. Accept/application which I am sending through the tRestClient component. Here, in the advanced settings tab, I have specified the header in “HTTP Headers field”.

But when I am executing the job it's giving me the following error: HTTP 406 Not Acceptable

Please suggest some way out of this.

Talend provides a really easy way to work with this. All you need to do is to supply the parameters based on which Talend will automatically define the HTTP headers.

In order to do this, go to the basic tab of your tRESTClient component and specify the “HTTP Method” as “GET” and “Accept Type” as “JSON”.

I hope this works out for you.
