1. Tableau Desktop:

Tableau Desktop is data visualization software that lets you see and understand data in minutes. With other Tableau products, it comprises a complete business intelligence software solution.

2. Tableau Server:

It is more of a enterprise level Tableau software. You can publish dashboards with Tableau Desktop and share them throughout the organization with web-based Tableau server. It leverages fast databases through live connections.

3. Tableau Online:

It is a private version of tableau public which eliminates the need for the infrastructure.

4. Tableau Reader:

A free desktop application that allows you to open and view visualizations/workbooks built in Tableau Desktop. You can filter, drill down data but you cannot edit or perform any kind of interactions in it.

5. Tableau Public:

This is a free Tableau software which you can use to make visualizations with but you need to save your workbook or worksheets in the Tableau Server which can be viewed by anyone.

hi, a small brief about Tableau software's available,

Tableau Desktop:  It is the professional tool which provides all features and functions required for data analysis and virtualization for organizations and provide Business intelligence solutions.

Tableau Server: is the place or a platform which is used to store, share and publish the dashboards, virtualization done using Tableau Desktop by big organizations and the data is secured by user/organization.

Tableau Online : is a cloud based version of Tableau Desktop that allows user to develop and perform analysis without any physical infrastructure in your system/computer.

Tableau Public is the free version of Tableau desktop, which has a subset of Tableau desktop features and functions with a few restrictions, all the workbooks, dashboards are saved in Tableau server and cannot be saved locally, the virtualization can be accessed and used by anyone i.e does not provide data security.

Tableau Reader: is a software by tableau only for read only purpose i.e, any workbook or worksheet from tableau server can be used to perform operations like slice/dice ,roll up or filter operations.
