How to add Indian Rupee Currency symbol in Google Spreadsheet

Question

I need to add Indian Rupee Currency Symbol Indian Rupee in Google Spreadsheet?

I tried with the following

As you can notice there is NO Indian Rupee symbol. How I can apply this?

Insert the Rupee Sign in Google Sheets

(1) Select a range with numbers (C2:C8), (2) click on the More formats icon (123) in the toolbar, (3) select More Formats and (4) click on More currencies. 2. In the Custom currencies window, (1) select Indian Rupee, (2) choose the appropriate format (₹1,000) and (3) click Apply.
