Hi Naveen,
Map/Reduce & Hadoop is one of the best and key technology innovations produced by the open source community to date. There is a huge opening for Hadoop in Indian Market right now and many companies are looking for professionals with some hands-on experience in this technology. You can learn something that is new, challenging and has lots of potential from career prospective.
Since you are from a Java background, it will be easier for you to learn Hadoop and your experience will be an added advantage.
Answering your 2nd question;
There are multiple career path to choose from. You can become a Hadoop Developer or branch towards NOSQL technologies like Cassandra, MongoDB, or venture into Analytics Domain like learning Data Science and Spark. Naveen, there are numerous careers paths to choose from, but the very first step is to be trained in Hadoop.

Hi, Could you also recommend Core Java Training. Thanks
Hi Sm,
Core Java skill is a prerequisite for learning Hadoop and learning Java as such will add value to your profile. If your career path is towards Hadoop, then learning Core Java becomes an essential step. I would suggest you to take up ‘Big Data and Hadoop’ course where you will be getting a complimentary course ‘ Comprehensive Java’ along with this. You can pace yourself by going ahead with the Java course first and then starting with Hadoop.

I am just BE passout and I am keenly interested in hadoop development and I wanted to move towards the data analysis path. Is it sufficient to complete hadoop and go for data analytic with r.
Absolutely Ankit!! People in final years are considering learning Hadoop. Reason being, lots of companies are looking for freshers in Big Data space. The prerequisite is core Jave, i’m sure you must be having knowledge on the same. Post learning Hadoop if your inclination is towards Big Data Analytics, you can also look in our Data Science course. Our Data Science course includes elements like Hadoop, R and Mahout. You can also go for R without learning Hadoop. There is no prerequisite as such but basic understanding of statistics would be beneficial. You can call us at US: 1800 275 9730 (Toll Free) or India: +91 88808 62004 to discuss in detail.
