NoSQL includes a wide range of different database technologies and were developed as a result of surging volume of data stored. Relational databases are not capable of coping with this huge volume and faces agility challenges.
This is where NoSQL databases have come in to play and are popular because of their features.
The video above is a session explaining how to choose the right database concept in great detail.
Got a question regarding ? Write to us at the Comments section and we will answer them.

Cassandra seems to work best for enterprise apps. I use mongo for smaller ones were scalling fast is the objective.
I’m currently using HBASE,I would like to know what are the essential features which should be considered to choose one over another between these 3 DBs.
Hi Rajarshi, the usage of the database depends on the data. Cassandra can be used when datasets are too large to fit in to servers and needs to be saved in places requiring friendly interface. MongoDB can be used in placing requiring dynamic queries and when there is a need for excellent performance on big database. And HBase can be used when Hadoop is the best way to run mapreduce jobs. Im more exciting to know those NoSQL DB’s..
Hi! I would like to know the difference between Cassandra and MongoDB. What makes Cassandra more practical & industry-friendly than MongoDB and vice versa?
Hi Souvik,
MongoDB and Cassandra are both fully-featured NoSQL databases and choosing any one of them entirely depends on the application requirement. It would be better if we have more information on your professional background, so that we can precisely suggest which is suitable for you.
