How to create a firewall rule in GCP Cloud

Hi Guys,

I am new to GCP Cloud. I want to add one rule in my GCP instance. Can anyone tell me how can I create a firewall rule in GCP Cloud?

Hi@akhtar,

If you are using the default VPC network that comes with your Google Cloud (GCP) project, and you haven't changed or added any firewall rules for that network, then you don't need to create any firewall rules. But if you create your own firewall, then you can follow the below steps.

• Click Create a firewall rule.

• Enter a Name for the firewall rule. This name must be unique for the project.

• Specify the Network in which you want to implement the firewall rule.

• Specify the Priority of the rule.

• Choose Ingress for Direction of traffic.

• Choose to Allow for Action on a match.

• For Protocols and ports, choose Specified protocols and ports

• Click on create and your rule will be created.
