Managing Project and Contract Management

Question

I am newly hired as PM for a DAM project, the project is a delay for about 3 years, still, the contractor is trying to delay the project as the project is 80% completed, what to do in such case.

Please share your experience.

For each project, you have a governance process. In that process a group of people, usually the steering committee, decide what to do with the project: kill, put on hold, continue. As a project manager, you are in charge of running the process plus manage all the activities related to create and publish the needed information that supports the process. 

Then, the only thing you can do is running the process and let the right people decide about the fact.
