How to take a backup of my EC2 instance

Hi Guys,

I have my instance in AWS. Now I want to take a backup of my instance. How can I do that?

Hi@akhtar,

You can take a backup using snapshot service in AWS. Follow the below-given steps to take a backup.

  • Login to your AWS account.

  • Click on EC2 service.

  • There you can find Elastic block storage.

  • Click on Volumes.

  • Select your volume and in Actions, you can find create snapshot option.

  • Give description and click on create snapshot.
