Why AWS or OpenStack launch instances so fast

Hi Guys,

I think everyone noticed when we installed instances in AWS, it takes very less time. But same thing if we do in our bare metal or virtual box it takes lots of time. Can someone explain me, why AWS and OpenStack launch instance so fast? Are they use docker in background or any other technology?

Actually AWS or Openstack uses pre-installed image. They just boot the image and launch one instance. It is also possible to create a .iso file of our current operating system, so that If we format our laptop and install windows 10 again from the created .iso file, we don't need to install the software, which we have installed earlier.
