Why do we need to disable firewalld and NetworkManager in OpenStack

Hi,

I am new in OpenStack. As we know firewalld is used for security purpose. But in OpenStack we have to stop it. Can anybody tell me why we need to disable firewalld and NetworkManager in OpenStack?

By default in Linux there are security system SELinux and NetworkManager and they manage network interfaces and the firewall. But We know for networking OpenStack have Neutron. Neutron also wants to manage them as well. When there are two managers that don’t know about each other, will create an issue. So we have to disable firewalld and NetworkManager.
