What does product team comprise of

I have created a small e-comm website for my fashion line. I am planning on scaling up my business and would require a proper tech, product, and marketing team. I am a little confused about what the product team will comprise of? Can somebody help me out with this?

A product team will work with the sales team to understand better about market penetration, marketing expert of the company to learn how to reach the customers, a c-suite stakeholder(if any) to make sure the product achieves high-level business objectives. The product team is mainly made of techies that develop and maintain the product. In your case, the product team should consist of all techies building and managing the website, marketing in charge and a sales in charge.

@Parth, A typical product team consists of Team lead and includes programmers (UI developers, testers, support engineers), sales, support, operations, and marketing. The product team plays a crucial organizational role within a company. Each product team aims at providing a product that achieves high-level business objectives.

For the successful execution of a product and its post maintenance, I think the product team should comprise of the following:

• Developer Team- who could understand the requirements and the needs for the product development, that includes Sales Head, Product Architect,Product Engineer, Back-End Developers Front-End developers

• Quality Assurance and Certification team

• Product Testing

• Issue Management Team(IMT)- so that the problems faced by the end user could easily be understood and solved

• Support Team - that would be responsible for the listening to customers issues with the product and explain it to the Issue Management Team

• Operations- This team would be comprised of Infrastructure and Application/Product Analysts.

Hey @Parth, in any organization product team plays a very important and crucial role as they are responsible for implementing strategies, making roadmap, and feature definition for that product or product line. So typically, a product team comprises of a Product manager, who leads the team and makes all the major decisions, then it also includes Developers and QAs who makes sure the product is of good quality. Then there are people from Program management, Sales, Support, Operations and marketing.
