Can I blindly jump into using docker in production? Or is there anything that I need to consider before shifting?

Hey Jasmine

If the question was can I or should use docker in production, the answer is of course you can. Why not? It gives you all the benefits you need. But should I blindly jump into it? NO! You cannot blindly jump as there are many aspects that you need to consider.

if your current system does not have:

  • an automated system setup
  • a fully secured least-privilege type of access
  • automated deploys
  • easy-to-be-restored and secure database backups
  • and more
You cannot or rather, you shouldn't!
