Hive Server 2 configuration for Kerberos Secured Cluster

Hi. I have setup Hive Server 2 and Kerberos. Now, I want to setup Kerberos Authentication for Hive Server 2. I have to add some properties in the hive-site.xml  file but I don't know what configurations. Can someone help me out?

Hi @Rasheed. You are right, to enable Kerberos Authentication you have to add the following configuration in hive-site.xml file:

  <name>hive.server2.authentication.kerberos.principal</name>
  <value>hive/_HOST@YOUR-REALM.COM</value>

  <value>/etc/hive/conf/hive.keytab</value>
</property>
