1. Prepares visual presentations by designing art and copy layouts regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.

2. Plans concept by studying information and materials.

3. Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.

4. Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.

5. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.

6. Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.

7. Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.

8. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

I partially disagree with you because graphic designers don't decide the requirements and budget of the project. They simply design the layout and get it approved from the client and then do the final designing.

• Work with copywriters and creative director to produce a final design
• Test graphics across various media
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
