How to convert string in Pandas Series to lower case

Hi. I am new to Python and I have a Pandas Series that consists of both uppercase and lowercase. I want to convert all the strings to lowercase so that I can use it in the next function. So, how can I convert the strings into lowercase strings?

Suppose you have the series stored in series_1 object, then to convert the strings in this series to lowercase, you will have to do something like this:

series_1.str.lower()
