Python Get current system local time

I am writing a python script that needs a timestamp. I have to get the current time, change the format into the format that I want and then use it. How can I get the current time in python?

You can use the datetime module for this. Below is the code to get the date and the time:

import datatime 

time= datetime.datetime.now()
print(time)
