Forecast - Tableau

Hi, I'm new to Tableau .I have data for superstore from 3 different regions and i want to see the profit and sales for next 2 months for each and show color to indicate profit (or loss). How to do forecast in Tableau?

Hi Susan,

Follow below steps:

1. Select Region, Date, Sales and Profit.

2. Now select required chart (Dual-axis/side to side/stacked bar/line).

3. Add profit in color shelf.

4. Now once your chart is ready. Go to Analytics pane and click on Forecast, then drag and drop in the sheet.

5. Click on the forecast line/bar and click on Edit.

6. A Dialog box opens, select Exactly and chose Months and chose the number of months.

7. The forecast would be shown for next 2 months fro sales and profit.
