Disadvantages of using Ansible Vault

Are there any disadvantages of using Ansible Vault? I just wanted to know before I started working with it.

There are two main disadvantages:

  1. If you lose your vault password, you ain't recovering it.
  2. When you push your work in GitHub, just opening and viewing a file counts as a new commit which is pretty annoying.
