Amazon Aurora is a relational database engine provided by Amazon which combines the speed and reliability of high-end databases with the cost-effectiveness of an open source database.

Amazon Aurora MySQL gives up to five times the performance of MySQL.

Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL gives up to three times the performance of PostgreSQL.

Amazon RDS manages your databases, all the tasks such as provisioning, failure detection, patching, backup, recovery, and repair. The cost related is a simple monthly charge for each Amazon Aurora database instance used.
