Hi. I am in 4th year of Engineering and I am interested in pursuing Masters and so planning to take up the GRE exam. But I am not sure whether I have to take it right after my Bachelor's or after I get some work experience. Please suggest.

Let me tell you that GRE score is not the only thing that matters for masters. So, I suggest you get at least 1 year of work experience and then give GRE. You will learn the IT culture, how companies work and many more. And having a good recommendation will really help you get into college.

Hi,

I would tell for both of them, its your choice at last.

If you immediately take Masters now, then you finish your studies in a single stretch and have higher package compared to others, but If you take masters after an year of work, you have experience working on some project or product, so you have more experience before studying masters.

If the company or the business you have got a chance to work has good and known reputation then, you would get twice the benefit and also recommendation before studying masters and of course, the con is that you lose your touch to study for a period of time.

The same goes for masters. if you got admission into good known university, then masters is better.

Hope this helps you.
