How to switch to Digital Marketing field

I have been working in sales for 3 years and it's getting boring now. I have some friends who work in Digital Marketing. When we discuss work, I always find their job interesting. So, I am planning to switch to Digital Marketing. I have come here for suggestions. Please advice.

Switching careers after a couple of years of experience can be hard because you have to tune yourself to the new domain. This might seem easy, but it is not. I tell this because I have been through this. I am recently gotten into Digital Marketing after working for 5 years in a different for me. I am going to share how I prepared myself in Digital Marketing. At first, I started reading about Digital Marketing on the internet. I read blogs, news, watched videos on YouTube to understand it. Then I started attending conferences, meetups whenever possible. This was a good thing for me because I met people who knew a lot about DM, and they were able to answer my questions that I couldn't find answers online for. Then I got certification in Digital Marketing, applied for interviews and started my job.

Well, you've worked in sales for two years which means you know the features that attract customers. Now all you've to learn is how to be creative and get customers attracted using advertisements. You can get an Online Digital Marketing Course done and straight go for the interview.

There are many e-learning companies providing really good courses with certification and your sales experience is going to add up.

Choosing a career is your own decision, but the background through which you will proceed that you need to research. Though you already have work experience in sales, so you know how to market things. To know more about what Digital marketing is, go through some YouTube videos to know what kind of work it is. Research how you can learn things if it is possible to try to take up a course regarding that platform. If you really want to switch your career, you need to work hard. Read things on the internet so that you can come to know which companies are paying well in this domain.
