What is the limit of using spot instance? Does working in different region effect the number of spot instances one can use?

A user can request for Spot instances up to their Spot limit for each region. Again you must know that the customers new to AWS might start with a lower limit.

If you would like to use a higher limit you must complete the Amazon EC2 instance request form with your use case that requires the higher limit and your instance increase will be considered. One should keep in mind that the Limit increases are tied to the region they were requested for.

Hope this helps.
