I was studying about migration and came across a term called 6 R's. Can someone tell me as what is it actually and how is it important for migration?

Is this 6 R's a strategy or the benefits one can have after migration?

Hello @Rishab, migration is a big decision for a company or organization as entire architecture would change after migration. The changes are good as everything after migration will be take care by AWS. The 6 R's is a strategy for migration.

The 6 R's are as follows:-

  • Rehost
  • Replatform
  • Repurchase
  • Refactor
  • Retire
  • Retain
