I am trying to run namenode using the following command:

./start-dfs.sh

But I am getting this error.

The entries in your .bashrc file looks fine. Try this, open your etc/hadoop/hadoop-env.sh and replace

export HADOOP_OPTS="$HADOOP_OPTS -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true"

with:

export HADOOP_OPTS="$HADOOP_OPTS -XX:-PrintWarnings -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true"
