Can we rename an AWS customer IAM policy

0 votes
I created a custom IAM policy days back.
I want to rename it but couldn't find any way to do so.
Is there any possibility to rename it or should I create a new policy and delete the old one?

No, you cannot rename your custom policy.

You can alternatively :

  • Copy policy
  • Create a new policy with the new name and paste the policy
  • Delete the old policy
