0 votes

I tried to run a map-reduce program on Single node hadoop clutser, but ended up in getting this error

Container killed by the ApplicationMaster"

The input size is 10 MB.

When i used the same script of input file 400 KB, it got succeeded. But its failing for the input file of size 10 MB.

The complete log that is displayed in my terminal is as follows.

I suggest you include below property files in yarn-site.xml and restart VM,

<property>

 <value>false</value>

Whether virtual memory limits will be enforced for containers

</property>

<property>

 <value>4</value>

Ratio between virtual memory to physical memory when setting memory limits for containers

</property>
