  2. Data Structure & Algorithm
  3. Python Script
  4. Java Programming
  5. SQL (bascically knowledger about database and querying it)
  6. Discrete Mathematics
  7. Linear Algebra
  8. Statistics

A Big Data Engineer will mainly work with Databases so he/she has to be good with Database Architectures. Hadoop Technologies, SQL and NoSQL, Real-Time Data Processing, Implementation and Maintenance of Database are other Important and most basic skills.
