• Bachelors/ Masters in related field.
• Some practical experience in the applied role
• Excellent problem solving skills. 
• Possess an extremely sound understanding of areas in the basic areas of Computer Science such as Algorithms, Data Structures, Object Oriented Design, Databases. 
• Be able to write Amazon quality code in an object oriented language - preferably in C/C++/Java in a Linux environment.
• Must have good written and oral communication skills, be a fast learner and have the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced development environment

If you are planning for applying in Amazon make sure you are doing good with programming languages .

You need to be good at Data Structure algorithms and they will check your basics as well as knowledge in depth.

Being good in languages means you need to skilled enough because they ask really tricky questions so it will be better if you are good in java and have done some project in it,  so that you sound good while answering technical terms.
