Hadoop HDFS Exception in createBlockOutputStream

Question

I am trying to copy data from the local system to HDFS. But I am getting this error:

It's a connection error. Have you turned off the firewall? Most of the times, the firewall blocks the connection. To turn it off you can run the following commands:

service iptables save
service iptables stop
chkconfig iptables off
