Investigation of various potential causes of differing visuals, arrangement, and/or behavior of slicer controls on different pages of a report Power BI and provide appropriate solutions must consider a number of aspects:
Examine Slicer Synchronization: In Power BI, it is possible to synchronize slicers across different pages, but it is not always the case in practice. In this case, go to the upper menu tab “View” and click on “Sync Slicers.” A panel will appear in which one can indicate on which pages included images the slicer=s selections will be relevant. Check that all the relevant pages are set to coordinate speech of one sequence of pitchers of the page and that there are no confusions. Furthermore, ensure that the slicers use the same data source and filters to avoid confusing users with contending choices.
Analyze Filters Applied at Page As Well As Report Level: In some cases, especially with slicers and reports visuals embedded in some pages or serving specific purposes, page-level or global report-level slicers might alter specific visuals or even the entire page. Examine the filters on each page by clicking on the “Filters” pane and also look at the applicable page-level filters and report-level filters, respectively. Ensure that they are used correctly and that they do not inadvertently contradict slicer inputs. For example, imagine a scenario where a slicer is used to mine data on a certain product category, and at the same time, a page-level filter is set not to show that product category. This would be perplexing to the users.
Regulate Visuals Interactivity Settings: Power BI provides the ability to manage the interactive effects of several visuals within one page. To achieve this, click on any visual first, then go to the ‘Format’ tab and click on the ‘Edit Interactions’ option. This option allows you to categorize whether other visuals are helpful and assisted by slicers or other visuals. All the visuals on all the pages, especially the ones with slicers, must respond as expected. Responders are pages where certain visuals are not meant to respond to any action by the slice.
