As a project manager with one year of experience, I’ve found that using ChatGPT can significantly enhance my workflow and improve project outcomes in several ways:
Task Management: I use ChatGPT while planning my projects. When working on the recent software development project, I entered the main objectives, and it came out with a structured list of tasks along with the suggestions of timelines that really helped ensure that no single activity was overlooked.
After team meetings, I would use ChatGPT to pen short but action-filled summaries. I would share my notes with it, and right away, there was a clear summary. Later, I shared it with the rest of the team to bring everyone on board and know what everyone should be doing.
Risk assessment: During the planning phase, I discussed the project objectives with ChatGPT. This helped me identify potential risks associated with the campaign and suggest mitigation strategies. Therefore, it allows me to consider an issue at an early stage before it becomes a serious problem.
Training and Development: I have employed it to find training sources for my teams. For example, when we needed to enhance our understanding of Agile methodologies, ChatGPT suggested a few online courses and articles that were really quite helpful in developing my team.
Documentation can be very time-consuming. ChatGPT helped me write project documentation by drafting project charters and status reports based on some information that I provide; therefore, in a structured format, this saves time and produces consistent documents.
