I forgot to download the .pem file when I created my EC2 instance. Is there a way to download or regenerate it again in EC2?

  • First, log in to your AWS account. Just head to the AWS console.

  • Once you're in, look for the EC2 service. You’ll find it by typing 'EC2' in the search bar.

  • On the left side, under 'Network & Security,' click on 'Key Pairs.'

  • Now, hit the 'Create Key Pair' button. Give your key pair a name, and make sure you select the PEM format.

  • Click 'Create,' and your browser will automatically download the PEM file (in image top corner ). Be sure to save it in a safe place because you won’t be able to download it again.

Note: Make sure to keep the PEM file safe because it's needed to access your EC2 instance. If you lose it, you won’t be able to download it again.
