Can someone explain what DevOps is

Question

could someone please explain to me what DevOps and Cloud Computing are without using all the buzzwords?

I tried my best to define DevOps by searching for it on Google, but the buzzwords in every description or definition prevented me from doing so. In essence, ELI5?

I thought I'd provide an illustration of some of the overused definitions I saw. This is the FAQ's exact response from Amazon. Describe DevOps:
