tracking of DevOps tools versions

Question

Working with DevOps leads to working with many tools. I have to update the tools and our Infrastructure to the new version.
So is there anything that helps track the tools and infrastructures with versions?

Currently, no plugin or tool does this. For this to happen we need:

1) a standard API for all vendors to publish to query their portfolios.
2) you need an app that web scrapes all the popular app sites and figures it out for you.

Let's hope in the future someone will develop this kind of tool.
