Is it possible to get job after 5 Years of gap in Career

I have 8 years of experience in IT. I left my job in 2015 due to some family problem, as now all are sorted out I m looking for jobs. Do i need fake experience certificate to maintain my career gap as it is very difficult to get a job with such huge gap?
