What is Big Data?

Big data is a term that refers to big, difficult-to-manage data sets. If we say technically then Big data is a collection of structured, semi - structured and unstructured, and unstructured data that may be mined for information and utilized in machine learning, predictive modelling, and other advanced analytics initiatives. It is currently the predominant big information system. It is a widespread in  government sector, private sector, banks, healthcare etc. Big data can be described by the following characteristics:
