ChatGPT is one of the most trending topics right now. It’s just been two months since its release, and people’s minds are blown by its capabilities. It’s breaking all records with over 1M users in just 5 days. This number is bigger than Netflix, Twitter, Facebook, and also Instagram. So this blog will help you keep updated with the trend and everything you need to know about this tool.
ChatGPT is an AI (Artificial Intelligence) tool that accepts prompts from a user to generate responses in a human-like manner. This is very different from what we have seen before.
In order to create an algorithm that can answer a user’s inquiries, ChatGPT has been trained across a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, mathematics, history, art, etc. What you receive when you ask ChatGPT `what it is`, is as follows:
“ChatGPT is an AI language model developed by OpenAI, which is capable of generating human-like text based on the input it is given. The model is trained on a large corpus of text data and can generate responses to questions, summarize long texts, write stories, and much more. It is often used in conversational AI applications to simulate a human-like conversation with users.”
You may use ChatGPT for a wide range of personal tasks, like texting people on dating apps, writing assignments, making grocery lists, looking up recipes, and even using it at work. anything you decide to do. Among other things, you can ask ChatGPT to write code, develop a sales pitch, enhance business planning, and provide marketing guidance.

ChatGPT was created by OpenAI, a research organization focused on artificial intelligence (AI) founded in 2015. OpenAI’s goal is to develop and promote AI in a safe and beneficial way for humanity. The development of ChatGPT was a collaborative effort between OpenAI’s research team and engineers, who worked together to create a language model capable of engaging in natural conversations with humans. ChatGPT uses the GPT-3.5 architecture, an extension of OpenAI’s previous work on language models that represents a significant advancement in AI. ChatGPT continues to learn and improve through ongoing training and refinement.
Most people don’t know this, but ChatGPT has been around for decades. And there are quite a few of them. You must have already used quite a few of them. Do you remember interacting with customer service agents over text? Most of those are chatbots.
ChatGPT represents a significant advancement in the capabilities of language models and has redefined how chatbots can be utilized.
Generally speaking, NO. Not all chatbots use artificial intelligence. It all depends on where the chatbot is used. Chatbots that use artificial intelligence do tend to be more interactive than the ones that don’t. For example, if you text a non-AI chatbot that your package was not delivered, it might just tell you to check your front door(very annoying!). Chatbots like ChatGPT have sophisticated algorithms that tend to make conversations highly interesting(I had a 30-minute conversation about my blog!).
Let me start by saying that ChatGPT is highly intelligent. It has already passed the US medical and law exams while helping millions of programmers solve their issues easily.
ChatGPT has not been through a Turing test just yet but, many researchers already believe that it can do so. Funnily, if you ask ChatGPT if it’s alive, it says:
“No, I am not alive. I am an artificial intelligence language model developed by OpenAI, I do not have consciousness or feelings. I am just a computer program designed to respond to text inputs and generate outputs based on patterns in the data I was trained on.”
ChatGPT is a major breakthrough in the field of AI and natural language processing. Its ability to understand and respond to natural language in a conversational manner makes it one of the most advanced language models to date. ChatGPT’s text is so human-like that it is often difficult to distinguish from text written by a human. This has led to various applications, such as chatbots, customer service, language translation, and more. Furthermore, ChatGPT’s development has advanced the field of AI and natural language processing, paving the way for even more advanced language models in the future.

ChatGPT is free to use right now, but there are rumours of a more powerful paid version coming up in the future.
ChatGPT is available through various platforms that have integrated it into their systems, such as AI chatbot platforms, messaging apps, and virtual assistants. However, the general public cannot access ChatGPT directly. OpenAI, the organization that developed ChatGPT, offers access to its language models through a paid subscription API service for businesses and developers. This API allows developers to integrate the language model into their own applications and services. However, using the API requires programming and natural language processing expertise.
People are using Chat GPT primarily in applications that involve natural language processing and human-like conversation. Chat GPT’s ability to generate human-like text has made it a popular choice for developing AI chatbots and virtual assistants that can converse with customers and users. Some businesses are using Chat GPT to automate customer service and support, while others are using it for language translation and content generation. Chat GPT has also been used in natural language processing research and development, as well as creating engaging chat experiences in entertainment and education applications. However, it is essential to note that Chat GPT is still a machine learning model, and its responses may not always be accurate or appropriate for every situation.
Limitations on Toxic Response
This is more of a feature than a limitation. ChatGPT has been programmed in such a way that it avoids inappropriate/toxic responses. So unless an error occurs, you won’t find any racist comments, slang, etc.
Quality of Answers Depends Upon User Prompts
This is a very important limitation because the more vague your input is, the worse is your answer. If you want something highly specific, you have to add in all the details.
Answers are not always correct
Chat GPT was trained on a lot of data but it does not really understand and apply that information. You can think of it as a parrot repeating whatever it has seen. While Chat GPT does an excellent job at using this information, it still struggles with completely new, out-of-the-box problems.
This makes Chat GPT a bit struggle sometimes and provides wrong answers or in some cases, answers that are wildly incorrect.
Even the moderators of StackOverflow observed this and came to a consensus of banning answers from Chat GPT because they wanted to stop the flood of wrong answers created by this issue.
ChatGPT is not up-to-date
ChatGPT has no clue about the current information because it was trained on data collected from before 2021. So if you’re using this for work, cross-verify the facts that are listed.
GPT-4 is still in development and does not yet exist. However, it is expected to be the next iteration of the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) series of language models developed by OpenAI. GPT-4 is anticipated to be larger and more capable than GPT-3, which is currently one of the most extensive and advanced language models available. GPT-4 is expected to incorporate new advancements in AI and natural language processing, and may have even greater potential applications in areas such as chatbots, content generation, and more. Nevertheless, OpenAI has made no official announcement about GPT-4’s release or its specific features.
Yes, there are several alternatives to Chat GPT that are worth considering based on specific use cases and requirements. Here are a few examples:
And with that, we come to the end of this article. I hope you found this information useful and exciting. There is a world of knowledge generated through Chat GPT which has a lot to offer. You can bookmark this website to check for more updates in the future. Until then, happy learning!
