Artificial Intelligence could Replace Junior Lawyers in the Future

An Australian technology company operating in the legal space has developed a prototype of a virtual lawyer using Amazon’s Alexa AI. Christened Smarter Drafter, this insentient lawyer can reportedly generate legal documents instantly. As any lawyer would know, this is usually the job of young associates and junior lawyers. Now, with automation in play, this new tool threatens the jobs of these entry-level professionals in the business and law domains. According to the CEO of the company that built Smarter Drafter, the AI lawyer is already in use at almost 150 law firms across Australia.
