What is Agile Certified Practitioner or ACP?

ACP or Agile Certified Practitioner is a globally recognized and demanded standard certification, which demonstrates that you have the experience, education and competence to lead and direct agile projects.

  • To attain the PMI-ACP® Certification, you need to have 8 months of agile experience. It ensures that you not only have the practical experience but the theoretical experience also. If you have 8 months of experience of working into agile project, it ensures that you have the practical experience and the process of attaining the certification, where you have to undergo 21 hours of training program, and read certain books from authors like Mike Griffiths, Mike Cohn, etc., ensures that you have a mix of both practical as well as theoretical knowledge.
  • This certification is based on the agile principles, practices, tools and techniques across agile methodologies.
  • PMI-ACP® is the third most popular PMI certification.
  • Till 30th April, 2013, there were approximately 2,900 PMI-ACP® certified professionals only. As of now, there are approximately 6, 200 PMI-ACP® Certified professionals, which is a good number, gone up by almost 4 times.
