ChatGPT Alternatives

ChatGPT has been one of the most revolutionary technologies we have come across recently. But this is not the first conversational AI we have seen. Given in this article called “Best ChatGPT Alternatives You Must Try”, is a list of the best ChatGPT alternatives you can find!

1. Google Bard

After ChatGPT took the internet by storm, many users fixated on Google, eagerly anticipating their own AI chatbot. Despite initial reluctance due to fears of misuse, Google has finally given in to public demand. CEO Sundar Pichai announced in a recent blog post that Google Bard is now available for experimental use. The conversational AI service is driven by a leaner version of LaMDA, Google’s cutting-edge language and dialogue model.

Google Bard is a promising tool that aims to blend the vastness of human knowledge with the intelligence and creativity of language models. What sets Bard apart is its ability to draw from up-to-date web information to provide prompt responses, giving it an advantage over ChatGPT, whose data pool is limited to pre-2021. While still limited to a select group of “trusted testers,” Google has plans to integrate Bard into their search engine, and in due time, it may well compete with ChatGPT. We can look forward to more exciting AI-powered features on Google Search, delivering swift answers at the top of search results. This is why we have kept Google Bard at the top of our best ChatGPT alternatives.

Explore the differences between ChatGPT vs BARD in our detailed comparison guide – discover which AI model suits your needs best.

2. Chatsonic

Chatsonic is one of the latest and most comprehensive alternatives to ChatGPT, gaining attention in recent times. This ChatGPT alternative has been developed on top of ChatGPT, leveraging its massive potential. However, Chatsonic offers additional features and a wider knowledge base as it can access the internet, which is a capability that ChatGPT currently lacks.

Chatsonic is a promising ChatGPT alternative that can output accurate information using internet results, making it less error-prone than other AI chatbots. It also remembers conversations and offers 16 different personas to converse with, including an accountant and a poet.

One unique feature of Chatsonic is its voice response capability, allowing users to speak to the bot using their microphones. The service also has a built-in image generator, providing 25 free daily generations, with the option to use your Writesonic word balance for more, or subscribe to the long-form plan, starting at just $12.67 per month.

Chatsonic also offers a browser extension and an Android app for easy access, making it convenient to use on the go. In my experience, Chatsonic effectively presents information better than ChatGPT due to its internet access and the latest information it can provide. Overall, Chatsonic is an impressive alternative to ChatGPT that offers a variety of features and benefits to users.

3. Jasper Chat

Jasper is a well-established AI content generation company with a new chatbot called Jasper Chat. Based on GPT 3.5 and other language models, Jasper Chat is a viable ChatGPT alternative built for businesses like advertising and marketing. However, it can be easily used by anyone. Jasper Chat has learned from billions of articles and other information in 29 languages, making it capable of holding medium to complex conversations. It has a convenient toggle to include Google search data, providing more power. Jasper Chat has contextual memory, making it a good chat companion, but all outputs should be fact-checked. While it requires the Boss or Business plan to access all features, Jasper Chat itself is free. The Boss Plan starts at $59 per month and offers access to all of Jasper’s services. Try the 5-day trial to see if it suits your needs.

4. Microsoft Bing

The AI market is attracting more players, and Microsoft is not one to be left behind. After announcing plans to invest $10 billion in OpenAI, the creators of ChatGPT, Microsoft, has now launched a new and improved version of its search engine, MS Bing. The upgraded search engine is a ChatGPt alternative that employs an enhanced version of ChatGPT, known as the “Prometheus model.” According to Microsoft, the new model is not only quicker but also more precise than its predecessor.

In addition to its upgraded ChatGPT-based model, Microsoft’s new Bing search engine has a chat mode that provides contextual information based on web queries. During a recent event, Microsoft demonstrated how users could ask for TV recommendations and use Bing to filter the results. Similar to ChatGPT, Bing also offers features such as trip planning, recipe search, and advice seeking. Although still in a limited preview, Bing will be free for all users once released. You can sign up on the waitlist and keep an eye out for this exciting alternative to ChatGPT.

The Playground also provides tools for fine-tuning language models on custom datasets and allows users to experiment with different generation parameters to control the quality and style of the generated text. The OpenAI Playground is a useful tool for anyone who wants to explore the capabilities of state-of-the-art language models without needing specialized technical knowledge or resources.

7. Youchat

YouChat is an AI chatbot that’s built into a search engine of the same name. Trained on an upgraded large language model like ChatGPT, The ChatGPT alternative called YouChat is capable of holding conversations with access to the Internet. Replika also includes features such as mood tracking, goal setting, and mindfulness exercises.

10. Perplexity AI

Perplexity AI is a ChatGPT alternative that’s also been trained on OpenAI’s API, delivering good responses with ChatGPT-like functionality. Its minimalist website is easy to use, and it even cites the sources it uses to answer your queries – a nice touch, although it does open the AI up to accidental plagiarism. During my tests, I found Perplexity AI to be a competent chatbot, capable of holding conversations and providing nuanced responses. It lacks multi-turn response-ability and any form of interaction besides text, but it does offer a cool dark mode on the website. Best of all, Perplexity AI is free to use and doesn’t require an account.
