80% of Indian Executives Believe AI is Essential to Stay in Business by 2025: Accenture

Recently, a survey was conducted by Accenture with 1,500 C-Suite Executives from companies with a minimum revenue of US$1 billion in 12 countries around the world across 16 industries, with the aim to uncover the success factors for scaling AI.

According to the survey, around 80% of C-Level Executives in India believe that not deploying Artificial Intelligence across their organizations could make them go out of business by 2025. But still only a few have made the shift from mere experimentation to creating an organization powered by robust AI capabilities. And those who have, have achieved almost three times the return on their investments.

A key barrier to the successful scaling of AI is the lack of the right people strategy. Companies need to ensure their employees understand what AI is and how it applies to their day-to-day role. While the top leadership team can serve as the champions responsible for scaling AI initiatives, embedding teams with AI across the entire organization can enable faster culture and behavioral changes.

In 2014, KPMG employed 2,000 people in Ireland and today the business employs around 3,400 people. Half of the 800 new positions will be for experienced professionals, with the other 400 targeting graduates as part of KPMG’s annual efforts to attract college leavers.
